Who's your favorite ancient evil?

There was some shitty cartoon show on Kids WB about an ancient evil witch who partnered with some boy genius to try to take over the world. I was a fan of that, mainly for all the /ss/ shenanigans.

If we're talking about video games, probably Manus from Dark Souls. I like the idea of descending down into the depths of the earth to fight a primordial monster.

Depends. Are we talking about singular or plural? If plural are they an organization, a hivemind, mind-controlled/thralled? Is it Sealed Evil, Active Evil, or Overriding Evil? Ascended Evil, Extraterrestrial Evil, Ultraterrestrial Evil, or Eldritch/Elder God Evil? Was it responsible for the extinction of a species/civilization, from said destroyed civilization/species, or are they still around but hiding to maintain some sort of dominance over the world?
