Obsidian have creative freedom and have made PoE - the best RPG since New Vegas with amazing roleplaying depth and a deep, tactical combat system that shits on everything in the genre, including meme games like BG2 with exactly zero balance, shit encounter design and absolutely no challenge. A a bunch of random ghosts in PoE offer more challenge and require more tactical thought than any encounter in BG1-2 or any more recent game in the genre.

The best game in a shit franchise. Dungeon Siege 1-2 are the absolute worst diablo clones ever made. I've played the first game and you LITERALLY, UNIRONICALLY spend the ENTIRE game autoattacking mobs with a warrior or ranged fighter type of character.

With DS3, Obsidian injected relatively challenging boss fights and actual roleplaying into the shit franchise, but it wasn't enough to save the franchise from being shit.
