I feel as if Metal doesn't even belong in the series anymore.

He's too serious for the types of stories it offers now. Downplaying Metal's threats with snark would just be an insult to his character, but they can probably get away with it with Shadow. I feel as if Metal Sonics presence should demand respect though as he's proven time and time again you dont give him an inch or he'll absorb any source of energy, betray you, and try to take over the world.
