It can't be topped. Probably never. Although some fights will come close in terms of cinematography, none will ever reach Vergil 3 in terms of gameplay.

I'm from an alternate universe where Kojima got to finish MGSV and, let me tell you, Venom Snake vs Solid Snake at the end of the game at Outer Heaven was the greatest shit.

I wasn't able to bring back any footage with me, but when you see Solid Snake's name appear on screen and then "(David Hayter)" written below it as the voice actor, I creamed my pants. It was the greatest final boss ever in a video game. Kojima somehow topped MGS4's ending with it. It was incredible

I mean, she's the pentultimate boss and also the rival throughout the game. She's much closer to Virgil in terms of plot, structure and game design than the actual final boss of the game. I think she's worthy of the comparison despite not actually being the last boss you fight.

The whole sequence really from slicing down buildings and then using those pieces as jumping points to get to Xemnas, to then jacking one of the planes to shoot him down, culminating to this and shooting a keyblade laser at him

I can only dream what they'll come up with for KH3

Seeing as how they did the Angelo Credo fight, this would've probably worked well. Hell,they could've even added this as the final boss in Bloody Palace, give him an entirely new moveset with some references from Dante's past devil arms and I would've been fine with it. Dissapointed to see the game was rushed.

I tought the ending was fine for DMC4, but the problem I find with most of DMC games is missing potential. For all the difficulties they've, couldn't they add some secret bosses? DMD mode only Sparda Vergil?
I always.thought they felt it would mess too much with the difficulty to add 'super' mode or even secret bosses.

Gregori fight in Dragons Dogma was pretty epic.
also the final Boss in Death By Degrees is surprisingly epic.
Sly 1 the final fight against Clockwork is pretty good.

OH and how could i forget about THE BOSS in fucking MGS 3, now thats a great bossfight
