You're on 4chan and PC friends are the most vocal fanbase. The platform split in the real world will be along the lines of Neir Automata: PS4 global 1.2million+, PC under 400k.

Despite what /v/ thinks most PC fags are actually poorfag third worlders with pentium 2 PC's and would rather play PlayerUnknownBattleGrounds or other F2P stuff rather than pay $60 for a Japanese game they can't even run or afford. The PC version can be graphically superior with better performance depending entriely on your PC specs but for a multiplayer focused game I don't know if PC is such a good idea.

I've been a console and PC gamer my entire life but I will opt for the PS4 version for MH World.

The reasons are:

1. I prefer the format of tangible physical media I can own and touch with my own two hands. (I also secured a decent pre-order price on it - $50) as opposed to duplicated app.db licences you rent from Valve.

2. The alleged extra content in the PS4 version

3. I wasn't brainwashed into beliving games are unplayable at 30fps since I've been gaming a long time

4. I wasn't meme'd into needing to justify an expensive purchase

5. The PS4 version will have the most healthy and populated pool of players

But ultimately because it's comming out for a console I own and use with more benefits than my PC which I haven't aupgraded since 2012 and probably won't ever upgrade again.

You can have a tiny population and still have a good time because you only need three other people to fill out a party. Community building tools are much better and more available on PC because it's easier to communicate and nobody on Sony consoles ever have mics for some reason. Plus if you're not playing with randoms, the vast majority of people on /v/ (or /vg/) are going to be on PC.

I'm picking it up for PS4 on release day. One of my friends has showed some interest in MH, but she couldn't get into it because it was on a tiny handheld.
But I have another friend who showed some interest in MH too, but is a PC gamer. Although he hasn't shown as much interest, and will most likely have to upgrade, since his PC is pretty old.
But nevertheless I might end up buying this game twice, so I could play with friends on both platforms.

Dark Souls is alive and well on PC, with nearly 2000 people playing a 6 year old game with not even half the online functionality that MH does. I do think that MH shares its fanbase with dark souls a lot more than it does with other games so I reckon that it won't die out as fast as Tekken 7 did. I personally know a fair share of MH fans who've been craving a PC MH game for years upon years at this point.

Golfswing is the hardest hitting single hit for the hammer and you can use it much in the same way that you can use the GOTCHA BITCH for the GS and knock a monster right out of whatever charge it's doing. It's just a fast hit that does a ton of damage, so it's worth prioritizing.
