I wanted to like Black Ops more than I actually did. My biggest issues were the footsteps sounding really muddled and the weapon balanced being skewed towards a few of the assault rifles and the ak74u.

In general I would say I have pretty lousy hearing but the audio system in MW2 gave me great spatial and situational awareness in a way no other game has. Playing FFA with a pair of headphones makes me feel like I'm the Predator or something

IW multiplayer is the best imo even if it has some problems.

Maybe it only does struggle in some areas, but it does alot of things very good like gameplay pace, tons of viable playstyles, random tiered gun variants (with some rare variants being better if not just as good as epics if you can figure out how to use them), lots of counters and anti-counters, balanced class system, and advanced movement.
It definitely has alot of areas it can improve in, but i think the fact every class and rig setup can be countered relatively easy by something at least one teammate *likely* started with, plus the wide variety of equipment, make this game better than other cods.

I mean to try titan fall 2, but that looks like a little too far from reality, cartoony gameplay (like a hyperbolic infinite warfare) but with realistic graphics.

I stopped playing CoDs after MW3 because they changed the maps from Woodsball to Speedball.

Int that reboot sweetspot from MW, WaW, and MW2 it's hard to really pick a favourite. In some ways MW2 trumped MW because a lot of the best MW maps got ported to MW2 and it had more options, but then MW had its own special stuff and charm that MW2 did not have. When I think back I really put them both on completely even footing for good time wasting multiplayer online.

WaW was right in there as well and completely different and I swear it was GOAT if you're an autistic RPer who liked to make loadouts for each faction. Jumping out of the bush and hiding placing to stab people with the Arisaka Bayonet as a Jap and menacing with booby trap betties was fun, and creeping around the jungle as an American faction with the cool American loadout was good and sniping through Europe maps was killer.

Those three hit a sweetspot for not yet being stale on the reboot formula and not yet shifting from environment maps to lane maps.
