Well the thing about Unreal and even Gears of War is that both of those games did things that weren't really done at the time while also presenting itself as a quality product well above what was standard back then. Unreal especially so, because it was all about showing what good, efficient programming could do in terms of rendering and texturing by putting you through numerous out of this world locations and scenarios. A toaster from 1996 would be able to play the game on software mode and still have graphical quality on par with a 1998 high end machine running hardware mode.

It's fun. I didn't play the new quake but I like it a lot more than Overwatch. The movement makes a huge difference and the variations in movement and weapons between the classes keeps it fun. The "ults" are kindof gay on some characters but they're always reserved, power-wise. Not as fun as TF2 in its early years but I like it more than the current alternatives.

And yeah $30 is pretty appropriate.
