Would you guys count doing online courses for high school as being a drop out?
A few years ago on the day I finished y first semester of my senior year, my parents moved me and my siblings from Central New York to Arizona and I had to take online classes for the rest of my credits since the schools worked differently there.
Cool thing about it is that I finished all of that within a few months and I had a higher GPA from those classes.

The sweet spot for a public school is a suburban school in a predominately white, upper middle class neighborhood. With between 100 to 300 kids per graduating class. Any less and teachers don't give a fuck because the school probably isn't properly funded, anymore and teachers don't give a fuck because it's overcrowded and they can't be bothered to know everyone, plus higher likelihood of shitheels that ruin it for everyone else.

I got lucky enough to land in the sweet spot, but understandably a lot of people don't and I don't blame them at all for thinking their high school was doing nothing for them. Private schools are a better bet but some of them are insanely expensive. The one in my city costs $10,000 USD per year.
