Back last I played cards were RNG drops from playing or some shit (can't remember, been a long time) so what's so different now? Can't get these cards through normal gameplay?

I don't know why others can't use the Shadowverse system. You can 'melt down' cards you don't want for vials you can use to create specific cards you DO want. Thus whales can buy packs for shitloads of cards, normal people can wait for their free packs and use vials to nab anything they are missing for their decks.

They're all loot crates. They're all gambling. One just lets you justify it to yourself more because you've given up and want to play Overwatch or CSGO or whatever, and therefore must tell yourself that you've accepted that they're never going away, rather than taking a firm stand that all loot crates are shit and should be excised from games like the cancer they are, and you lack the willpower to follow through on your convictions.
