I think wind has the most interesting potential applications (you could oxegenate water or create air bubbles to freely explore underwater, use a strong air bubble to counteract high pressures, create tornadoes and blow out flames/strengthen them if you wish, it'd be cool.

In vidya I always find Earth most fun. Since the elements have to be balanced to a certain degree, you can't do all that crazy shit with wind, and earth is the least magic missiley of the four primary elements.

I always hate these element wheels because they almost always end up portraying at least one element or interaction between them badly. How exactly does Ice beat Air, or how does Air beat Earth and not the other way around? You can argue that erosion is a thing, but if we're going there, Ice, Water, and even Fire would be far more potent erosive forces than Air.

Wind is just always a welcome ability to have because it will almost always gives you the ability to be speedy as fuck, speed through landscape to cover more terrain, teleporting/flying, and gusting people to move away from you. It's just an overall great element in games.

Earth is great because it's always associated with power, and impenetrability/survivability. The elemental for Earth casters always hits home with me with Myconids, rock monsters, or growing mounds of dirt.

You can't even make that combo unless the weapon has innate electricity in it. I think you mean corrosive + explosive and thats because you don't have to think or work on your weapons depending on the situation.
