Especially after I saw that the combat system is not like KH, but kinda shitty and all the "here is the beta give us some feedback how we should do the game".

The main issue is that the Vita suffers from mainstream games - since the market has shifted for it to being a portable VN machine which probably works well enough for Japanese audiences and a platform to penetrate niche English-speaking audiences to help bolster whatever sales - which aligns with Sony's business strategy of making it a niche platform as well as the release of the PCH-2000 that cheapened it enough to justify purchasing a device for niche games.

Time and money from what? Sony has multiple teams. Unless you're going to argue the Vita somehow hurt the PS4 that came out the year after, which I don't see a reason why. It eventually earned back Sony's investment, albeit extremely late. Otherwise we should be saying the PS3 stole time and money, since it had a weak launch as well before a cheaper model was made.

It'll surely kill Sony's attempts at handhelds since it's more wise to invest in mobile phones in at least the Asian market for anything mobile than to develop a whole new handheld.

Sony's losses in money has more to deal with shifting markets and overall poor decisions (Emoji movie, for example). At least Sony is better than Microsoft in developing a console brand by gathering exclusives and ensuring the only multi-plats are PC/PS for games on their console.

Most worthwhile games for the Vita are either multiplat anyways or receive PC/PS4 releases later on (Stranger in Sword City, Tales games, general weeb shit if you like weeb shit) - the only advantage would be portability nowadays.

I'm not trying to be some vita defense force, the Vita is at least financially neutral with an estimated 15 million units sold, just extremely late to the punch.
