When a game was ported between the xbox 360 and the PS3 they didn't make it look better. Most of the time it was worse actually. That's a port.
Now if a game goes from the PS3 to the PS4 and they make it look better, it's a remaster.
If that game is remade from the ground up, it's a remake. It's not that hard.

I feel like to call something a remake it has to be fundamentally altered in some way to raise it to a higher level of standard. Other than analog directional control, 3DS tier 3d graphics and voice acting it's basically a 1:1 copy of the original. The music and sound effects are identical too.
