Buzzwords are a classic way of manipulating people into believing dumb shit because eventually they just start trying to rationalize everything around the word itself (which in turn is tied to their emotions) instead of actually thinking about what their own intentions are when they use the word.
Even 1984 addresses this, the made-up government language Newspeak was made with that exact intent: to get people to stop thinking critically and just focus on fulfilling some nebulous idea that loses its meaning when you repeat it enough.
The difference between "comfy" and "nostalgic" is that you can identify exactly what is meant with nostalgia: good emotions as a result of positive memories being resurfaced. "Comfy" doesn't fucking mean anything so people go around chasing this feeling of "comfy" without realizing that nothing is going to satisfy this need, especially not long-term, outside of realizing what the fuck is wrong with your life and fixing it instead of dwelling in the past. When you label it as what it is, nostalgia, it's a lot easier to see that it's a product of your emotions and not some sort of holy standard that you should be holding everything to, because it's not one that exists outside of your own fucking brain. Don't go chasing cheap thrills because your life is a trainwreck. Fix your life, and then maybe you won't need "comfy" so much.
