My favourite game location is Faring from Gothic 3. I love it. I wish it was bigger but I guess due to game limitations they couldn't afford to make it big.

I also really like this valley from Skyrim. Don't remember what was it name. It is near the cave where you save Derkeethus from Falmers.

I've always found towns in JRPG's kinda unnerving since they are often so advanced and elaborate but they have almost no people living in them, most which have no income. Like they are part of a movie set or something. Takes away from the comfy feeling for me.

Yeah I tried it out when it was relatively new and it was great to see a lot of players for once but as you said, it'll never be like 2142 in its prime days.

I have so many fond memories of the 2142 maps that I used to boot it up a few years back after the population dropped to a server or two and just walk around the maps while moving the titan around at the same time.

I've never been too fazed by a lack of realistic town populations. The appeal for me is how safe towns/villages are, the main gripe I actually had with FF13 was no towns so even though I understand that the cast were fugitives, you never really felt "safe" at all.

Rune Factory 4 is the only 3DS one, it's also one of the best or so I've heard since I don't have one myself.

Speaking of Morrowind and houses, would anyone find it cozy if you could live inside an old hollowed out silt strider? Or would that just be gross.
Sort of like the Ald'ruhn Manor District , but instead of a giant crab its a large silt strider.

Was working on it a while ago but I ultimately abandoned it. Thinking of maybe starting it up again since I feel a bit refreshed.
