Yes, and LFR is considered cancer because 80% of the time the group can't even process basic boss mechanics, even when said mechanis are nerfed to the ground.
WoW LFR, especially in the newest expansion, is either a trivial rush fest or an utter retarded slog. There is no in between. Adding in a similar LFR to Destiny would not create a middle ground, because you'll always have those people who try and rush past everyone else and fuck up mechanics because they don't want to learn them, only for them to throw a fit when it turns out you can't just shoot the boss to kill it.
Full LFR would invalidate the difficulty of the raids, because everyone thinks it's just a six player shooting gallery and they don't know there's actual mechanics to do before you start shooting.

When I saw how they revealed d2, which was essentially the same as d1 I knew the game was going to be the exacly like d1 promo and content wise.

Just like activisions other big IPs they decide how much content is worth the price of the game, and then release the game and every installment of the game with that amount of content and nothing more until dlc. Destiny has pretty much the call of duty business plan, where a bunch of suits decide how much content is enough bang for your buck and every game will have this set amount of content at launch.
