1 is fun, but can be a bit of a downgrade if you come from 2 or commander, most odbious is that machinguns do not intercept automaticaly

but best thing is warship gunner 2, got the most toys to play with
and a few playable subs

and still has weird bosses

ACI's setting is better than the setting for the old AC games. They should have stuck with it for AC7 instead of going back.

Way more creative (which is kinda funny, since it copies so much from the old games anyway). It has new countries with new reasons to fight each other. The old games are almost all just real wars but they changed the names. AC4 is just WW2 with different names. 5 is a little more creative with the whole Belkan agents thing but overall the setting is still mostly just America vs the Soviet Union but with different names. 0 is WW2 with different names again. 6 isn't based off a real war, but it's the most generic thing ever, so whatever.
3 is good, but it's been a long fucking time since 3 came out, and the devs don't seem to want to revisit that time period again. Which is too bad, really. There's a lot of potential there.
