The Budokai cutscenes are a better abridged version of the DBZ story than Kai.

Some of the visuals, graphics, and the delivery from the voice actors were just plain better than the anime and the dramatic soundtrack was too. As a kid those cutscenes were the definitive Z for me really.

This game was some horse shit o the harder difficulties where AI would do nothing but block and abuse the fact that the game's actual gameplay is so limited and barebones, Budokai 3 was a Godsend gamepaly wise.
