Will it be good?

sure

highly doubtful

Is it going to be like that old detective adventure game. Or will it be another cinematic third person shooter?

Dark Corners of the Earth is still probably the best traditional Lovecraft game (I don't consider Bloodborne to be a traditional Lovecraft game.)
Is this made by the same guys?

Big part of Lovecraftian shit is that if I see the big gross monster I'll literally go insane. That's the whole fucking point which makes it scary that no one seems to get when they adapt this to a visual medium.

I hope so but idk, it'll probably be narrative heavy with gameplay coming second.
I figure basic puzzles and shooting mechanics while having to explore the town will be the majority of the actual game you play.
Which im honestly fine with in a lovecraft style game.

I'm hoping for first person but I doubt it will be, probably 3rd person and you are a already named person with a preset backstory. I'd be surprised if it was heavy on the gunplay.

what exactly are you saying? looking at monsters does make you lose sanity in many of these games. there's no way to directly show a big scary monster that will actually live up to the hype, so they can only do little stuff. what else can you ask for?
Will it be as good an adaptation as Dark Corners or Providence?

The driving force on what makes these monsters scary is that they're often talked about and never seen until the ending. A lot of these lovecraft inspired works often have their big Cthulhu monster practically on the front cover which, to the player, makes their presence substantially less intimidating. I'm wary that the developers may take to this model when they release the game.

Just why? Is there like a major VA drought or something?
