Arkham Knight is still like 20 bucks used, if I can find it. I got the premium edition for 16 bucks awhile back month during a xbox sale shut up, and got $150 worth of extra content from it, instead of getting jewed on buying having to buy everything normally.

1. Take your lazy ass to a store that sells games while constantly feeling self conscious about how you look to other people. Probably have to waste more gas or bus fare to go to a different store if they ran out

2. Purchase a physical copy online + shipping and tax fees and wait a few days for the copy to arrive

3. Send someone out to get the physical copy for you with a chance they might bring the wrong thing back

4. Purchase the game digitally with no hassle besides worrying about if you have enough space to download it and shorter waiting time

i only buy drm free pc games from GOG
i install them via gog galaxy, then go back to gog website and download all the installers in all the languages i need to disk so theyre mine forever
that said, with patches being bigger than the game on console disk itself, current gen consoles and their disks will be unplayable in about 10 years once all those servers go down and you can no longer update an xbox one or download a patch for a game

If I still care about a game in 20 years and don't have the ability to rebuy it on a whim I should probably kill myself

I don't unless it's free. My Xbox One came with Unity and Black Flag so I used them. I got a Xbox gift card so I just bought Minecraft for my xbox one since I wanted to give it a shot. Or I am situations where I have to like Yakuza 5 is only digital only in USA for PS3. or how I couldn't find a copy of Gravity Rush Remastered so I bought it digital then I bought it 6 months later off ebay for 75 bucks physically.

Buying digital fucking blows mostly because you can't get any kind of return if you absolutely hate the game unless it's on Steam. If you beat a game and didnt like it enough to keep it around or have no incentive to ever touch it again, it just sits there. With physical you can at least get about a 50% or more monetary return depending on the game and no I don't mean ripping yourself off at GameStop.

It's why I usually wait to get a physical version, even if it costs more (see: DMC4 Special Edition, pretty much anything from Limited Run Games, etc). I want to know I own the game physically so I'm not basically in possession of a ticking time bomb.
