Game of the year came out already.

i'm really frightened about odyssey. only losing coins, not lives when you die makes me worried it won't be challenging enough, compared to sunshine which had a nigh perfect amount of difficulty(excluding bugs). that, and the level design looking linear rather than overworldey like sunshine and 64.

i'm still buying it, but those concerns are pretty huge from me.

There's linear levels within each Kingdom but the Kingdoms themselves are structured like the sandbox levels from 64/Sunshine, it's a good mix. The sandbox levels are also dynamic and have day/night versions as well as sub-levels like the Deep Woods and the power plant in the city

I guess the closest would be 64 but much, much smoother. If you've played 3D World it feels as smooth as that game, but with the movement freedom of 64. You can spinjump like in Sunshine and do a ground-pound into super jump like 3D Land/World, but for the most part it's mainly 64 moves (Long jumps, backflips, sideflips, dives, etc)

Because there's no released games that makes me want to crave a Switch. Arms and Splatoon may look fun but they feel like filler games to me. No More Heroes might be a possible reason to get a Switch but I need at least 3-4 more games and even then, there's news that NMH isn't a Switch exclusive.

Aside from that, I don't like the controller. It felt too small for me. The pro controller might fix this issue but just like everything else the system has to offer, it's pricy as fuck. I'd wait for a newer version and cheaper prices before I'll consider in getting one.

SMW is the last game to even have a score counter, so you *might* be able to argue that coins still had a use there if you're one of the two people in the world that actually score attacks SMW, but difficulty?
