Removing items is what makes this game superior to all other ASSFAGGOTs.

No more farming to buy items you require to be effective, no more losing the game becuse the enemy team just focused one guy the whole game to make them irrelevant.

When everyone has to buy the same shit or face being reported for "trolling" it's probably better that items are "removed" and replaced by a smaller talent system that doesn't let you make completely horrible choices.

Besides, the whole item buying shit is a leftover from War 3's Hero Item-carrying system (Which was just an alpha-test for WoW's inventory system on top of that), that shit had to go eventually.

This is true, the issue comes in that a team with an Abathur requires both that Abathur to be a decent fucking aba player and for the team to understand how aba is supposed to work. Most people just get instatriggered like fucking morons and throw the game because they have no idea how it's even supposed to work. because i started playing dota before even WoW came out and before dota2 came out i was playing LoL. the hour long games, needing to last hit, and buying the same meta approved items over and over again lost the appeal completely. hots feels like a little bit of fresh air despite the casualization of the moba formula. not to mention different maps with objectives. dota, dota 2 and LoL all have the same map that ive been playing on for over a third of my life.

I played the hell out of HoN. But their $30 price point drove people to play League even though it was vastly inferior and basically required you to pay MORE money to play the game due to needing to buy their champions. All because it was "free". Such a shame, HoN is still mechanically the best AoS game though HotS has finally added vector targeting.
