pick up a hobby now where you learn a cool skill. woodworking, playing guitar, something where you can demonstrate your investment. the thing with video games is that aside from muh experiences, it's lost time.

if you must play them, do it with friends. strengthening social bonds is the real reward with video games.

Play less of them. Play something outside of what you usually do. If you always play multiplayer games play a singleplayer one and vice versa
