What's the best town in Oblivion?
>>389283874
Chorrol
>>389283874
The one with the houses with cookie cutter wood frames, stone and plaster walls, and high peaked roofs.
They're all the same
anvil
What is the comfiest home in Oblivion?
Oblivion had the best cities, I'll give it that.
>>389284541
You already posted it. Too bad the neighborhood it's shit.
>>389284541
>>389283874
None of the towns really stand out but Hackdirt takes the cake for the worst town in the game. I always make a point of returning to slaughter everyone there after rescuing Darma.
>>389284541
The hood is bad, but the house is just perfect.
>Start a young adventurer
>World is actually too dangerous so I train everyday running, jumping and climbing.
>Get some money working at the tavern to pay for some sword lessons at the arena
>Decide life is too comfy and lvie a city life as a bard instead of adventuring.
Why is modded Oblivion so good?
>>389285031
>Hackdirt
I shit my pants when one of the freaks attacked me in my sleep

It's a reference to The Shadow over Innsmouth, where the products of miscegenation are described as having bulging eyes etc.

>tfw killing the dark elf sailor at the port and carrying her dead body on my bed
god what was i thinking
skingrad
>>389283874
I like Bravil even though it's a shithole. Something about that shanty town aesthetic is mad comfy
>boot up Oblivion after not touching it since a blind playthrough on release
>read up on efficient leveling
>can't play comfortably without constantly thinking about min maxing my stats
Fuck.
>>389287908
Just move the difficulty slider to like 1/4 and don't worry about it. Adjust up forward or back if shit's too easy or hard later on.
Bruma by far.

HOL' UP
>Have morrowind all modded out on desktop PC
>Works more or less (only found 1 NPC in a remote cave that has a giant /!\ and crashed
>Want to put on my laptop for when I'm away from PC
Will just copying it over work or will it break? If not I'll prob just stick it on google drive.
Is there a definitive list of Oblivion mods for the best experience yet?
It's probably the Elder Scrolls that I've played the least. Well except for Arena but fucking nobody played that.

Just installed this. Took a while but was definetly worth it. Looks better than lightly modded skyrim.
>>389289638
lol kys
>>389289268
No but I cover most of the good ones

This looks like crap and barely changes gameplay.
>>389283874
You posted it.
>>389287034
Fuck no. Skingrad is by far the sketchiest town out of the whole lot and I don't care what anyone says.
>>389286356
>no mods to marry Darma and have her live in your house in a french maid outfit.
I just want my lusty argonian maid
>>389289253
Copying over the data files should work as long as you install the game first
>>389283874
Cheydinhal is home to a super corrupt Count, guards that will shake you down for looking at them funny, an insane murder cult, and an annoying knight-larper. No thanks.

Get the realistic leveling mod or something like it. Your attributes will increase just like skills and health is dynamic so you can't miss out on it by not maxing endurance ASAP.
>>389290775
Don't things there respawn after a while like all other containers? I remember making a home down in the sewers that had a chest and a bedroll only to find out all my shit was gone a week later.
i finally got into morrowind and just now realized i remember absolutely nothing about any oblivion cities. however outside cities though oblivion still manages to have more interesting worlds around them (ashlands are the most dull, boring looking shit ive ever had the dissatisfaction of jumping over). i think they did a lot of good things in oblivion though such as only allowing spell creation after you beat mages guild (because spells are broken as fuck in morrowind and being able to fly infinitely by just repeating a low 3 second alteration spell trivialized the game). im already jumping across the world with 1 second 100 superjump and killing everything in two hits with summoned daedra shit 100 percent chance of casting despite playing for only 30 hours and honestly i prefer the level scaling in oblivion over morrowinds static shit because now the only enemy that even gives me a challenge is an obviously lategame orc in the mountain who challenges you to a fight
>>389283874
Chorrol, I think. It's definitely the coziest.
>>389285031
Lizard loving faggot.
There was a lot of great houses in oblivion.
The Greek Port town was awesome, except for the part of having a satanroom in the cellar. That stuff creeped me out.
The swiss house in the alps was great too, but bad neighbors and a bit claustrophobic indoor area kinda ruined it.
The German fortress town was probably the best one, too bad the town was a bit boring, albeit pretty.
As someone said earlier, the pirate boat in the biggest town was pretty sweet as well. The nord house and the slum city ones were OK.
The city with the mages guild i can't quite remember.
Bliss
I love these. Reminds me of the small cities/large towns in England.
>>389294525
What's the difference?
>>389294695
Some minuscule aesthetic places like Winchester are referred to as "cities"/
>>389294695
more bretons, and dark elves in the UK
>>389287523
You're just delusional from skooma fumes.
>>389283874
Anvil is up until Shivering Isles.
A haunted house, a slaughtered church, and a screaming god are too much.
Now it's Bruma.
>>389293981
>The city with the mages guild i can't quite remember.
Anon this was back in the day when every city had one of each guild in it. When some mages guild places had questlines in just one of them longer than the guild questlines in skyrim.
>>389283874
Bruma because that's where men are women
>>389295415
>Screaming God
Who?

Oh shit. I never thought if it that way.
>>389296298
Here kitty kitty...
>>389284315
Houses in Oblivion were the generic, default shit someone could imagine. It's like what happens when you ask someone to draw a doodle of a house.
This one
>>389296292
>might be right
Every major town has a building with a mages guild sign, a fighters guild sign, a fence, and dark brotherhood contacts. The "regularness" of that made it feel a bit more cohesive, especially since other places like inns and stores weren't chains like the guilds.
>>389296339
The man gives you the Blessing of Talos just by touching you.
>>389296607
I didn't think Umaril was that much of a threat that Talks would use direct intervention.
>>389296778
He's a man that became a god by smiting demons. He gets bored.
