The rubberbanding is awful, the handilng is all kinds of fucked and overall the game feels pretty slow even with maxed out engine and NOS and every race ends with a 5 minute cop chase where regular cruisers bump you in the ass while you are pressing down the gas and NOS the fuck up (again rubberbanding).

i liked shift, mostly because different models and setups of cars felt appreciably different. it was a neat middle ground between arcade driving and a more realistic sim
also you could put like a thousand horsepower engine in a shitty bmw and have it be comically hard to drive, which was funny

Rubberbanding barely exists in Carbon, the real culprit of painful rubberbanding is Most Wanted 2005, Carbon is easy as shit

Game is still faster than Underground 2 at maxed out stats, handling varies based on car class and it's not even hard to lose the cops

The REAL problems of Carbon are that you only have limited money in Career mode, Career mode is too short, and that there's no incentive to do pursuits, so cops just feel like an annoyance in this game
