I don't know who this asshole is but I play my 3ds more than my switch probably. The wii u feels dead, the 3ds doesn't. I don't think this guy realizes all the 3ds games coming out have been in development for a long time, developers can't just move something to another console easily.

I'm buying it, but I wish they would've put it on the Switch. The only justification I can think of for putting it on the 3DS instead, is that it was so far in development that the graphics would look inexcusably shitty to people who don't understand that it was moved over; that there would be a perception that the game looks shitty. Especially since you'd be able to play it on a TV.

I haven't touched my 3DS in about 2 years.

I'm going to say he's full of shit and has no evidence to back up his claims. The majority of Nintendo's profits stem from their 3DS sales, it's a rabid fan base despite its age and will continue its successful streak for at least until the end of 2018.
