Is Windows 10 really bad for gaming?

Windows 7 only has extended support till 2020 while 10 gets mainstream suport. Why would you switch? They're both just as much botnet if you care.

I bought a shitposting laptop with win 10 installed. I reinstalled win 7 on it. It still tried to jew me into getting 10 so i did the thing and don't get the message anymore.

There's a way to turn it off, I've done it myself but I forgot how.
I think I figured it out after a few minutes of googling, so it's definitely doable. I really wish they didn't shit the bed so absolutely hard with Windows 10. The autoupdates and massive amounts of background tasks just muddy what would be a decent OS.

I have a Windows 8.1 laptop that has functionally the same components as my new Windows 10 laptop and I can't believe how intensive Windows 10 is. The Windows 8.1 laptop can carry on much more tasks at the same time than the Windows 10 laptop, and the amount of memory needed in the background for the OS is ridiculous. I don't even want to think about getting it on my desktop if the performance scales this way
