Shit game devs ripping off more popular, better games have been done forever. The earliest ones were just straight up copies of the games, Donkey Kong and Pac-Man had a lot of "unofficial ports" done. Nowadays because of new media laws and the ability to see past bullshit in life these leeches just have to be a little more creative in how they rip off the source material.
