Whiff punishing is too fucking easy in snk games. It's so wait your turn, I really wanted to like KOF, I really did. I played 98, 02, and 13, and none of them resonated with me. Punishes are too fucking easy and jumping is too strong.

Didn't say it was perfect. But I do like the speed and how whiff punishing is difficult and requires good execution and reactions in general. KOF doesn't have that, it's very easy to punish if something whiffs. Other than that I like KOF though.

I came in hoping for a KoF barely worksafe image dump and just found anons playing video games. I'm disappointed but also happy for you nerds

KoF is super hard for me for some reason

I can play sfIII/IV/V, and umvc3 and tekken

but KoF has always been the hardest to learn for me. I love the game, it's cool as fuck and i wanna get better but controlling it is super weird for me

It's annoying that I get unplayable 100 frame input lag on a game I paid for, whereas I can play all the older KoF games on Fightcade against Brazillians running third world internet and get perfectly smooth matches 90% of the time.

Practice flicking your arcade/analog stick. The upward directions must be held for a few frames at most, so flicking is the best method to get hops consistantly.

KOF has a very large buffer window that you must take advantage of. Don't mash them out. Instead, take your time to input them cleanly, preferably buffering them. Also, it has a button hold trick similar to Blazblue where you do the motion, hold the button and it'll still come out.

Don't mash them, time them like starting from the hitstop or after. The timing is between the usual chains and links in SF.

Between Angel, King, and Blue Mary, I can't decide.

Fight choregraphy and remixes of classic songs are the highlights. Then, there's some funny stuff like Ryo pursuing Geese's thugs while riding a tiny bicycle and Beni being the buttmonkey.

The main flaw is that the episode lengths are too short.
