Is it still grid-based? The PS360 era games were trash. I don't want to spend the whole game shimmying along autolock ledges that conveniently crumble the second after I pass them. It's like Uncharted.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I don't get what to do here. No matter which way I try to jump she dies. If this were an old school Tomb Raider game I'd just drop straight down and grab onto the ledge right below me, but it doesn't seem to be an option.

Never mind, I was being pessimistic. I just played it, and holy shit. Every complaint I have with Anniversary has been fixed. You don't see a pre-drawn ledge pattern on the wall. Combat is less about counter timing and more about positioning and dodging. Enemies do way more damage (those spiders are lethal) and in general you need to problem solve in order to progress. I hope these guys get official funding to complete the game, or at least don't get C&D'd. I wouldn't be surprised if this gets shut down based on how professional it looks.

It would never have been sanctioned if that happened. Crystal Dynamics has a huge hate boner for anything that sexualizes Lara. So much so, that I got permamentely banned from tombraiderforums for posting a 3d render I made of Lara with no clothes on. I think Crystal Dynamics gave him the greenlight but who knows if that'll stick. I remember Konami giving the Metal Gear fan Remake the greenlight and they shut it down anyway.

This demo kicked my ass up and down the great wall of china. I had no idea where i was jumping to half the time. I feel spoiled by the highlighted edges in the CD games.

Just played the through the whole thing. Its lengthier then I thought it would be. Got 1 Jade Dragon. Not sure if there are more in the demo, probably not. Holy fuck, those tigers and spiders. they mess you up big time even with auto aim. Could be cause I was playing on hard. I fucking panicked when the tiger swam after me and fucked my shit up in the water.
