Has anybody here played this game? I highly recommend it if you enjoy psychedelic imagery and bizarre games
It's completely free too, so it wouldn't hurt to give it a try
R.I.P.

it's okay.
I love this game. Don't quite get the two endings though.

I love the game too. I played it all in one night while really sleep deprived. It was like I was playing a fever dream. The endings are pretty open to interpretation, I think. They can mean whatever you want them to mean
Have you played Gingiva? It's by the same creator and it is also sufficiently bizarre
I find Middens strange. I usually love tiny RPGM games like Space Funeral, Ib, Mogeko Castle, Crooked Man, etc but for some reason can't get into Middens without losing interest at around the second checkpoint.
Should I REALLY play it, anon?

From the sound of it Middens might not be your type of game. It's more like a Fighting Man's Yume Nikki where you explore a strange world while also trying to kill its inhabitants. Not really narrative based.

What makes you lose interest?
For me, the appeal to Middens was having a relatively open world full of weird, interesting shit to look at and interact with. i also LOVE the dialogue

Huh, maybe that's the problem. I'd never given it much thought as to what made it unappealing but now that you both mention it I did feel kind of lost and aimless in this strange world, same as in YN which I also dropped. Maybe I need some kinda story or mcguffin to be pointed to to really get immersed.
Thanks for the fuel for thought anons.

You actually don't need to explore the whole world to beat Middens. You just have to kill a certain amount of enemies (I think it's 25?) and then youshoot yourself in the headand enter the final area
I remember thinking the design of the protagonist is really really cool and that I never got around to playing the sequel.
Did that other game the devs were working on ever get released? Can't remember what it was called.

So far the only games he's released are Middens and Gingiva. What other games was he working on?
His games are so fucking good, I'd kill for another one
Which version of RPG Maker does it run on?
>>389211746
Shit yeah I have, easily my favorite RPGmaker game.

I found it, the game's called Where They Cremate the Roadkill.
Apparently the kickstarter is still up, not sure if the project is still active though. Couldn't find the trailer on youtube.
