I just played my first game ever of deathmatch in the team deathmatch mode. I was on some kind of square box map with just a few buildings, where it was mostly open. Don't know the name.

Holy fuck it was so fucking bad! Like how could anyone even actually design a map like this? It's mind blowing how bad it is. The fucking call of duty devs (who literally make the worst maps I've ever had the displeasure of playing on) make better maps.

No the problem is that they are DEATHLY afraid of making any maps where any one hero has any sort of advantage. They want all heros to have more or less an equal chance to be played. They don't want any player going "Welp its X I guess I cant play A, B, or C hero."

This makes maps fucking horrible. A prime example of this is how many points are covered in the direction of the straight always so that Widow cant shoot onto the point unless she puts herself in danger.

Instead they should of went balls deep and made some maps INTENTIONALLY bad for some hero's. That's what makes a fun game and adds depth to the game.

I had this shit literaly every time I got close to ranking up. One game I was 2987 about to hit diamond and we had a Genji player literally do fucking nothing. No kills no fucking anything. It's because of a lack of alternate routes. If you're not a Winston, Pharah, Hanzo etc your only way trough is the gate, and no one wants to be the first to go trough the gate.
All other maps have some sort of an alternate route you can take on the ground. Volskaya has a choke similar, but the choke is much bigger and there is a car in the middle.

The Lunar map is better than this shit purely because there is more choice on how to approach the objective.
When you have only one entry point a lot of players just freeze and don't move. When you give them two or more entry points they will try to take the route they feel is more safe.

I'm almost certain some shots don't register on purpose.
So many times I've shot someone, saw the hit effects, but no hitmarker or damage done.

You could say it's just bad netcode, but with how all games are won in overtime, I believe it's more sinister.

2fort is "balanced" in the sense that it's nearly impossible for either side to play offensively.
Occasional stalemates are fine, but a map that always results in stalemates because nobody can accomplish anything is no better than a map where one side is heavily favored over the other.
TF2's capture the flag mode doesn't have a time limit either, so technically a match on 2fort can never end in a stalemate and isn't supposed to. It's just that nobody ever stays around long enough to see either side win.

But don't just take my word for it, consider that CTF maps are literally banned from competitive TF2.

Yes. I stopped playing Overwatch when I switched to PC and couldn't rebuy it yet. Bought it last week, have played on it about six times, and hated every one of them. It's not fun to defend and boring to attack.

I go out there when I'm Sombra cause I can hack the large medpack and if anyone chases me outside I can fuck them up due to the low grav/being able to heal with the medpack. But most people just don't bother chasing me out there.

No, the idea of switching is just stupid to begin with. The game simply gives you too much information about the enemy team and doesn't do stuff like carry over at least some part of your original Ultimate bar when you change heroes. Any chucklefuck spamming Tab can see the team comp of the enemy after 10 seconds into the round. Voice lines and sound give away a hero's positioning and presence nearly 99% of time as well. They simply just didn't have any fucking idea how to design their game.

a respawn always takes 10 seconds no matter what, and the game is relatively low fatality compared to its contemporaries. instead of tf2 where you'll die in a second and have a respawn time of 3-20 seconds depending on objective completion, you have 10 seconds no matter what.
so instead the objective is skewed towards whoever has the shortest walk to it.
