It basically gives more processing power to games, but it has a disclaimer that the games may not be stable. In my searching, there has not been one game that runs fucked up with it on. Say a game is 30 fps and dips to 25 normally. With boost mode on, it may make it locked 30

From what I understand Skyrim is the only game that has problems with boost mode.

But they've since probably been patched.

That's what I thought would happen. Sony has never made a console that didn't suffer from internal temperatures. Even the PSTV is a fire hazard after a couple hours of gaming.
