Was DmC: Devil may Cry a great game? no. But it was said to a amazing game by a bunch of marketers. to attempt to make back the losses Capcom had to make a definitive edition without the help of ninja theory. it sold better than NT's version but was still a poor game.
Bioshock infinite was a very noticeable step down from it's previous games. Very noticeable step down from the live gameplay demo shown 6 months prior. so much of a change that it was literally a different game. Which that demo sold most people on the game before it ever came out.
Infinite was bland game. Only saving point was Elizabeth. which went on to make infinite known for kickstarting the SFM porn scene. the only thing that people now remember fondly about Infinite.
Also all those people who told us it was a good game. Guess what. They don't remember BS:I anymore.

If you get above 3 points the odds are very unlikely that it isn't a shill. What you do with that is up to you.
