I need at least one good game. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it has to be free of every single blemish of modern gaming that plagues us. For example:

They would have to fix the curving issue and offer a regular charger, like the one the 3DS uses, for those that want to take advantage or the so called portability of that thing.

They would also have to lower the price of their games to at least 45 dollars, there games are no where near as graphically powerful as their competitors yet they think they can charge the same as them? what a joke.

They would have to offer new games instead of porting games that have been around for over a year. I would not be surprise if they ported plants vs zombies, the very first one, and charged 60 dollars for it.

Look up their list of up coming titles it is all games you can play for free on the internet or ports of games already out on other consoles in 2015.

Honestly another smash game. I bonus would be if they made a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles X, they owe us that for that type of ending.

Finally saw one in the wild and Mario+Rabbids came out on the same day so I picked one up. Besides getting the absolute shit kicked out of me in Splatoon 2 I'm enjoying the console.

Most of the people who want one already have one. To get people to buy it you would need key titles in a portable form. Traditional monster hunter will move a bunch of units in japan but american video game players have such eclectic tastes. Mario and Pokemon aren't gonna do anything for them. Nintendo would need like 4 exclusive titles by big shakers (fromsoft, platinum, atlus, rockstar). Indie content like crypt of the necrodancer, hollow knight, and skullgirls. Then if they port game of the year editions of multiplats from the last 3-5 years like skyrim (more like P5 portable, smash bros 4, or sf4).

maybe not the best examples but at least its a suggestion. Name one port you would play if it was ported to the switch if it didn't suffer massive issues.

The issue is that the nvidia shield is a more effective vision of what the switch wants to do. The switch has some of the nintendo polish to add little things but most titles wont take advantage of it.

Alternatively get all the old treasure titles on it and purchase treasure as a second party developer for really amazing exclusives ala HAL and gamefreak.

I'm gonna do you one better and explain while trying not to be an aggressive asshole too. I'll post as if you really don't know what the product is capable of.

First of all I don't have an Nvidia sheild and do have a switch. The shield lets you stream content directly from your computer so imagine if gaymen desktop in your home could be played in any room in your home. It also allows all of that which comes with a pc, you can emulate, watch a video, browse etc. You can go from playing your videogame on steam to the little clamshell in 720p with minor trip ups. The clamshell design lets you close up shop and leave it in the bathroom freezer wherever the fuck you might want to play dota2 with a controller for whatever reason. The biggest difference being that it doesn't have the seamless transition of pop off the TV into your hands which is a novelty at best rather than a full fledged feature.

Shit even the Vita is a better execution of the switch due to the fact I can play any fucking ps3 or ps4 game.

I like what Nintendo is willing to try in this stale mostly stale market of consoles, but most of the features are novelties which wear off after the first month of owning it. It's the glorified gameboy successor I wanted in the form of a portable gamecube with wii waggle. That said I only play the one game BOTW on it. BOTW luckily takes advantage of everything the switch has to offer unlike what a majority of titles will. slight adjustment on aiming with the accelerometer, gameplay designed for both short bursts as well as extended periods, and uhh woops the switch doesn't really have that many little things which make it stand out.

The nintendo brand is basically the biggest selling feature it has unless it can get a library akin to the original DS. as much as it gets touted as a home console with portable aspects nintendo should just move forward with mobage for the next decade or so following the FEH strategy.

I've bought 7 Switches so far and every single one of them was already warped out of the box. I'm 100% convinced they are ALL effected, though it's indeed probably not caused by the heat

Seriously, put your Switch on a flat table and push on one corner. If your Switch is perfectly flat, it shouldn't do anything. If it's warped, it will rock slightly.

Despite the fact that I'm quite on board to play Odyssey, I played the Wii U version of Zelda,
and the optimal version of it will be playable
on Cemu within the year possibly.

Odyssey isn't exactly that big a deal story wise, and there are so many other games I have to play.
There really isn't any reason to get a switch right now.

So, to convince me would be a price drop, as well as one more significant exclusive available within this year.
Otherwise, I can wait.

There's a lot of great stuff coming down the road it seems, so maybe it'll be worth owning one day. I definitely would love the utility of the portability so I could play it around the house, or on break from work in my car or something.
