Assuming you last played a few years ago, the new additions are:
>legs, which come in 3 varieties (regular for toughness, sprinter for speed, crawler for climbing. Basically all snipers use crawler)
>new weapons: Shotgun, Chaingun, Flak, and Proto-Seeker. All are relatively large and expensive, and come in two tiers (except for proto), the upper tier being twice as expensive (but also twice as hard to destroy) and a little more effective
>giant versions of the main 3 weapon types (giant blaster is like a slightly inaccurate sniper that fires 5 times a second)
