Man I loooooved the start of this game. Played it right when it came out. Walking through the levels as a cool as looking ninja robot cutting of mutated cybernetic solders and blasting them in the face with a machine gun while sliding across the floor... But pretty quickly the grind for new weapons set in, then the speedrunners came in, then the repeating the same mission 400 times in a row became apparent. It made me a sad.

Game feels like it would be better if they put their focus in balancing weapons/abilities and damage formulas overall so it doesn't become a one shot fest for both you and enemies.

There are many cases where what you said is completely true, but Warframe isn't really one of them. The devs have an ADHD development style, where they partially develop a system, only to move on to the next shiny new thing, which they then partially develop before moving to yet another system, until the whole game is a pile of half-finished mechanics (examples being archwing, dojos, and the focus system). In addition, the only thing you can do in the game to progress is grind. Once you inevitably get tired of that, the game doesn't have much else to offer.

This could all be fixed if the devs actually slowed down and seriously thought about the core gameplay experience, but after the 2 years since I quit, they've shown no signs of doing that.

I didn't say it was revolutionary, but that it is the best. Physical damages have various types and, elemental can be combined to make new elements, and every damage type has a unique status effect. Weapons can be built to be useful against various enemies, and can be built to just be crit machines or to proc lots of the status. That's literally as good as a damage system is going to get. What, pray tell, would you change?
