I think so, it had a nice solo campaign and the boss fights were fun. Character customization is great too with all the gear options.

But yeah, if only the online was still active, would really be a fun experience for you. Still, solid choice if you can get it for cheap. The games after this one was a fucking travesty.

It's really good, but if you don't have friends on a mic to play it with you should probably prepare to be disappointed. It's designed for at least 2 player coop. Then again you might find some people who are playing the campaign together.

Play the Lost Planet Extreme Condition first. It's more challenging and is a good prelude to LP2. The series is MonsterHunter with guns, mechs, and global warming.
