But Chloe only became a "huge cunt" because of her abandonment issues. The game makes it quite clear both in the flashback and alternate reality scenes that Chloe's attitude comes from the damage that her father dying and Max leaving caused her. As a kid and a cripple with loving parents she's portrayed as a really sweet girl.

Therefore it makes no sense to project "adult" Chloe's actions onto her younger self. And besides, if she'd told Max to fuck off and die, she'd understand why she never tried to get in touch, whereas it's clear that it hurt her deeply. She even talks about how Rachel "saved" her, meaning she likely ended up depressed and possibly suicidal after her dad died and Max moved.

Ghost Trick has good writing and puzzles.

Heavy Rain has likable characters and your choices actually do matter.

Life is Strange is basically your grandpa trying to write for hipster teens in the Pacific Northwest. Absolutely nothing you do matters because the game ends in a binary choice that renders everything before it meaningless regardless of what you choose.
The gameplay consists entirely of walking around and looking at things. Sometimes you can interact but usually only for plot purposes.
LiS has a time rewind mechanic that lets you make slight changes but somehow you still get landmark choices that you can't rewind. Before the Storm removes this single unique feature.

It's basically a bootleg Walking Dead in design so if you didn't like that, there is no redemption here for you.
