Enclave here, why isn't yourClassic Fallout threadworking?
>>389112774
Because nu-vegas babies too busy playing nu-fallout and irony shitting on bethesda fallouts.
>>389112774
>Install Fallout 2 for a trip back into nostalgia
>can't get it to run on computer
That's why.
>>389112774
Because there's people defending paid mods and know they're being contrarian.
>>389112774
Because Classic Fallout's are broken and mediocre, like all crpgs.
>>389113027
Even in classic fallout threads people can't shut up about this game

I agree, I just want to turn my brain off and have fun!

New Fallouts are also broken and mediocre. Only somehow the writing and combat got even worse for the most part.

Fallout 3 killed and pissed all over what faout was. It sucked all the soul and character of the series and filled it with disgusting lazy shit to appeal to the lowest common denominator and make a fuckton of money. Fallout 3 is fucking garbage with the utter sin of pretending to be a savior of videogames and praised as such by having utterly destroyed what fallout 1 and 2 were about
Old fallout were flawed, but also really original and charming, fallout 3 onwards just casualized everything and turned into a cashgrab, had it been an original game I wouldn't have gone nuclear, but to this day I'm still mad

What are your thoughts on New Vegas? I think that they almost got the original style back and by adding some structure to the world and keeping combat encounters to mostly scripted and quest-related fights they managed to make the combat feel like less of a janked fps and more of an rpg in first person. The lack of giant hallways of nameless goons to kill between everything is easily the best improvement New Vegas made but nobody ever seems to credit Obsidian for it.
