I think that specific games and game devs shouldn't be exclusive to a specific platform.
Wouldn't they make more money by becoming available across all platforms?
I could understand wanting a few exclusive games (e.g. Bloodborne on PS4) on console to help it sell and differentiate it from others, but having a stranglehold on entire series' seems kind of dumb to me because then there's multiple consumer bases who only own the consoles it isn't released on that miss out on the entire series.
I understand if a game developer wants to stick to what they know works, but having your game be only released on one platform makes people who just want to buy the game have to buy the 150$ or above priced console just to play it.
Why can't video games be easier to access?

Maybe I'm just dumb and don't completely understand the complicated concept of market competition.

I really liked the idea of MH on handhelds because it's just much easier to pick up and play, and I was getting excited for a MH game on Switch after absolutely adoring 4U because it just would have been nice to get caught up in the hype and all, but then MHXX for Switch got announced, I got hyped, and then MHW got announced like a month later, leaving me feeling incredibly confused.

Also, I think I've come to terms with my pettiness, and realized that it's because of me being out of the job, having spent the remainder of my spending money on a Switch, and then feeling the need to justify my purchase because I no longer have any spending money for myself. Thanks for helping me understand your position and keep your chin up man, you are fine, I mean it when I said I wasn't tyring to be above you qw everybody here has a shortcoming or two including me. The MH community has always been something that can bring out the negative side of people and it sucks it makes people take sides but it's all apart of the process, just roll with it, support the franchise, try not to meddle too much with the epic shitpost wars and let it skew your view. Real Nintendo and Sony fans are chill as fuck and when we select a few and call them names we include the good guys too so I also need to try and get away from this kind of stuff. I really do need to stop taking /v/ so seriously. I know that most people here just troll, shitpost, and falseflag, so I don't know why I get so involved in it all. The worst part is when I know I should just be ignoring it but get involved anyway and take the bait.
