That's because the closest thing to a matching type trio is fighting, dark, and psychic but dark being immune to psychic fucks up the balance.

I like ones that are simply enhanced versions of existing versions that adds features of convenience, lets you catch every pokemon, and offers enhanced difficulties.

Recently played through Polished Crystal and am playing through Wilting Y right now. Both are really good.

I appreciate that there are fans devoted/passionate enough to make them and they're probably better than mainline, real titles from what I hear.
But I just don't enjoy them for an amalgam of reasons. And it's just for Pokemon too, fangames of other franchises I usually enjoy.
