>He made up his own headcanon to pretend this game isn't canon
Happens quite often, doesn't it?

Well that's a bit more complicated. ESO is canon but the events took place in a different timeline because of how elder scrolls time wounds work.
There is literally no proof or evidence or ANYTHING in the lore relating to MGR to suggest its not canon.

He has to, otherwise the truth to face is that Sunny is going to have hot interracial sex with George for days.

Is this ever hinted at? Why would a Dragon Break even happen at that point?

Its how they always justify lore inconsistencies. Its their get out of jail free card. Like did you know Tamriel is supposed to be much bigger and much more environmentally different than how it is in TESIV: Oblivion but because of engine limitations of their current build with that engine they had to justify it via "haha xd its just the elder scrolls fucking with the universe or something LAHL"
At least it somewhat makes sense even if its a jewish thing to do. Sadly nothing like a time wound works in the Fallout universe which is why people get so salty when they fuck up the lore there. Honestly despite what a lot of /v/ipsters said the lore in Fallout 3 was pretty fine and fit in the canon pretty well. Fallout 4 is where they actually fucked up A LOT.

I know what it is and how it works which is why I'm asking why it would even happen at ESO.
They already have an explanation as to why most records of the war and the Daedric invasion have been lost and its been around since forever
The games story was fucking hilarious, I'm fine with it being canon.
