I've got all the roms I want, and have for years. I want one of these as a sort-of replacement for the SNES I had that went missing years ago.

For a small emulator box with two controllers that looks and feels (and smells, hopefully - but probably not) like the original, $80 isn't such a bad deal. If it can be hacked like the NES classic to add more roms, so much the better (though I'm pretty happy with the stock pack-ins).

Not anymore. There was a window of 1-2 hours a couple weeks ago at 2am where Amazon and Best Buy had preorders up. If you didn't get in then, you're SOL. Only way to get one is through scalpers now.

It has a great sound track and pixel art. The cast of characters is probably too large for its own good, as it gives them individually very little time to develop. The story on that note is a bit weak. And the combat is very easy since various stats are largely exploitable
