Game bombed so bad in Japan that Western sales did better. And turn-based JRPGs almost always sell more in Japan than worldwide, that's how bad it did.

Outside of the abysmal game sales, the concert and OST sales were apparently really high, so it's considered an overall success. Most of the profits came from idol otaku and VAfags.
