Only way for it to die would be for streamers to be exposed as cheating, organizing matches with the help of the devs.
As it is, it will die a few years from now when a new game comes along that draws the crowd.

It'll die as soon as the next turbo streamer bait game comes out. PUBG dumped pretty much all of their budget into lining the pockets of twitch streamers and built a playerbase off of their fanboys. Had H1Z1 done the same, it would have been equally as popular.

Only a matter of time before someone with more money to dump on twitch A-listers comes along, then PUBG will die seemingly over night. Not like it matters though, they already made insane bank.

As a former Arma 3 modder, I'm holding off on getting PUBG until I can mod it. And by mod it, I mean make PUBG do what Arma 3 simply can't due to it's engine limitations as good as Arma 3.

I bet it really rustle's Bohemia's jimmies. Nothing in PUGB can't be done in Arma 3. Hell, give me a weekend, I could recreate the map with the mod tools and the game mode in Arma. But because Arma's netcode is so poor, it wouldn't run nearly as well.

Arma 3 could have been overtaking PUGB if Bohemia didn't continue to use an ancient engine.
