Convince me not to buy Destiny 2. All I want is a game I can

this. Didn't make any friends though. Actually was around the time I lost friends. Still, grinding pub strikes and court of Oryx/Prison of Elders and patrolling solo were great to take my mind off things.

For shits and giggles I decided to see how Destiny 2 would have run on my 2012 550 ti PC
I looked up a benchmark video and ran it side by side to the PS4 version
The left is 900p low preset on PC while the right is the base PS4 version
PS4 version looks noticeably worse, How they did they manage that?

why would you buy it without waiting for release and see how much content it actually has?

It does seem to have better anti aliasing but the colours and lightning seem better on the left.

I'm getting this game because it's fun and all my friends are getting it too. Playing with your buddies always makes it a better experience

I played the Beta earlier this week. It was ok. Didn't blow me away. PvP didn't seem very interesting. T>W>H

The Mission was fun. But I'm skeptical if they'll continue to be interesting in the long run. Nothing about the fights seemed innovative, so I'd imagine it'll be running through mindless mobs, and redoing predictable fights over and over.

I never played Destiny 1 though..so maybe I'm talking out of my ass?

I don't think they learned from Destiny 1. Boss fights are nothing but bullet sponges to the point where you hide behind walls to avoid 1 hit kill mechanics. They're not difficult fights, just long and boring. But who knows, there's only 1 boss that was in the demo. Whoops I mean 'beta'.

Does it have space combat yet?

The idea of Destiny is cool, but I'm not big on FPS gameplay, but if it had space combat along side it, I think it would be rad.

That's the trouble with Destiny. The concept is brilliant, and it could have been an incredible game. But it was a stillbirth. It was a barren and empty game, oozing disappointment. It had so much potential and then they went ahead and fucked everything up.

Each fraction of time you spend on a game is gone forever, and since we live finite lives and drop out of existence forever, im not gonna spend it grinding for a fucking exotic.

You'll be extorted about 5 times over two or three years the full price of a game on each dlc just to keep playing until the game is complete enough to be cool.

Enemies are ugly and uninspired, not enjoyable to kill or look at or interact with in any way.
Classes are shallow and boring, all abilities are uninteresting and unenjoyable.
