Would anyone else have been ok with them setting 3 in NY again? The NY flashback levels were probably the best in the game. The twist in the story and the reason why Max is in Brazil are contrived and barely thought out. But what really kills it for me is the unskippable cutscenes. I actually wanted to replay the game, but had to stop because the game is so in love with its cutscenes. This is a game with bonus modes where you are literally expected to replay sections over and over to complete challenges or beat a time, but you have to watch cutscenes every attempt. What the fuck, Rockstar.

Folks do tend to exaggerate on this board, but I can assure you, half of the fucking game is cutscenes. Many of them unskippable.

Also the actual narrative and writing doesn't compare with the original two. Was still fun as shit though - but again, fucking cutscenes.
