I usually go dex, but that's only because it's faster and I want to play the game, not wait five seconds for an attack animation to play every time I click or whatever.

If that's not a factor - as in turn based games or whatever, I always go Charisma and def if that's not an option.

Seriously though, STR is almost always the way to go, cause it's a stat with lots of benefits, it often increases your carry limit, health/stamina, sometimes even armor. Dex does little, maybe chance to hit.

A STR character hits like a truck and takes hits like a truck, a DEX one does comparable damage but snaps like a twig when hit.

You're quite right, but before the show the discussions were largely kept on his forums, and there were plenty of people there with their own theories to make it seem like it wasn't blindingly obvious to the masses.
When the bandwagon got started in the show, it became clear just how many were either in on it, or willing to parrot it to fit in.

I still don't really know the point of Lady Stoneheart, other than to just force Brinnie and Jamie to fight, and I don't see the point of Arya's list and her training if she's never going to be able to fucking do anything. Making Arya take up Stoneheart's role is a pretty neat way to get both of the sides to work well together.

Dropping Aegon doesn't make much sense to me, I mean if the "dragon has three heads" typically you need three Targs, and Dany, Jon, and Aegon fit the bill (if the kid is really him) and you have the repeat of the Targs first coming to the kingdoms, so it works thematically as the story ending a lot like how the whole thing started from.
