Elf is fine but she's hard to use in the highest difficulties if you want to survive, you're pretty much locked into chaining aerial power shots which is fucking boring.

Doesn't matter anyway though because why aren't you playing Dwarf.

Dwarf has jobs outside of power smashes. Lifting and throwing is some of your best crowd control and eagle glide melts enemies weak to fire. Eagle glide is honestly underrated as shit since if you get an enemy up against the side of the screen you hit them with every bomb drop, it'll instantly break any Cyclops trying to force the door open during that fight, for instance, and since it's a movement skill you don't even have to try to get there.

Power smashes also stop being boring when you get weapons that turn the effect into a fucking glacier spawn, ice meteors, and snowstorm all at once.

Wizard is a cool guy tho
