What are some RTS with quick games? I really enjoy a lot of SupCom FA elements (MP on FAF), but 4v4 is like 20m of pure eco with very little action for some positions (producing air, for example).. This game would be so cool with a +2 or +3 locked-speed option.

I don't think a 4v4 in any rts is going to be quick, especially with noobs that sit in their own base. The average broodwar game is 15-20 minutes though, depending on matchup it can go pretty long.

That, specifically, is playing on Gap of Rohan, mostly.

It was Seton's Clutch for a while, but the middle bridgepath is tiny and completely relies on naval sides, while air (in the back) is just a rushing-tech3 game.

what's the general consense on the 8-bit series?
I've played a bit of Armies and it seems ok for it's price and if you just want to do a very quick game
